Youth, Artists create new platform for northern chamber of commerce

Tracking our commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals

From zero hunger to climate change adaptation, gender equality and no poverty by 2030, our project created a cool SDG Action Tracker page. We're using it to help measure how our project activities align to each SDG.

In photos: As a volunteer-driven, grassroots arts entrepreneurship collective, @1860, has been proud to lend its support to the Kivalliq Chamber of Commerce and member organizations and businesses like Niriqatiginnga and the Arctic Buying Company Kivalliq in donating their time and resources towards a new online marketplace and rejuvenated capacity using digital tools. Just one year after the completion of their first pilot incubator project, @1860, the team has been continuing its work, developing a whole new presence for the Kivalliq Chamber of Commerce. The new Kivalliq Chamber of Commerce web site is an outcome of digital skills development and cultural entrepreneurship training made possible with the Canada Council for the Arts Digital Greenhouse.

Niriqatiginnga and the Digital Arts and Cultural Entrepreneurship incubator project team created a whole new web  platform and online marketplace for the Kivalliq Chamber of Commerce this month. Read more about this amazing new community-driven project. Congratulations to the volunteers who came together to collaboratively develop this new project. The new marketplace builds on activities supported by Manitoba Agriculture and the Sustainable Canadian Agriculture Program.

Thank you to the Manitoba Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership

Our program began as a pilot project with funding from Manitoba Agriculture and the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership. We are incredibly thankful for their support.

Thank you to our partners and supporters

As a community program, nurturing the skills, knowledge, and networks of our future leaders, this unique, pilot program contributes beyond the success of its participants. Niriqatiginnga also lays the foundation for sustainable and impactful business and entrepreneurship programming across the Kivalliq Region and Northern Manitoba.
