This project supports relationship development, consultation and engagement actions/activities with the University of the Arctic. It supports exploring participatory arts-based food security, northern supply chain research and entrepreneurship training/mentorship opportunities. We aim to engage the UArctic Thematic Network on Local-Scale Planning, Climate Change and Resilience. Niriqatiginnga is administered with support from the Arctic Buying Company, Kivalliq, Inc. and @1860 Arts.
This project was funded by Manitoba Agriculture and the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership Indigenous Agriculture and Relationship Development program.
The Arctic Buying Company Kivalliq and “Niriqatiginnga” are among four recipients of 2024 Indigenous Intellectual Property Program funding. The grants were announced May 1, 2024 by Minister François-Philippe Champagne.
