This project supported relationship development, consultation and engagement actions/activities exploring participatory food security research and food sector training opportunities with the Minneapolis College of Art and Design Creative Entrepreneurship and Master of Arts in Creative Leadership programs. It supported research design to attract research investment to Manitoba. This project was led by the Arctic Buying Company, Kivalliq, and co-led by Inuit youth from the Winnipeg-based Niriqatiginnga, MCAD and @1860 Arts programs.
This project was funded by Manitoba Agriculture and the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership Indigenous Agriculture and Relationship Development program.
The Arctic Buying Company Kivalliq and “Niriqatiginnga” are among four recipients of 2024 Indigenous Intellectual Property Program funding. The grants were announced May 1, 2024 by Minister François-Philippe Champagne.
