CBRL Conversations

We are pleased to invite you to our CBRL meeting this Friday, April 12  at 11:00 am (PST) with Dr. Francis Adu-Febiri, an African-Canadian born and raised in Ghana, is a sociology professor at Camosun College. His teaching philosophy emphasizes applied learning through field schools, creativity exercises, and service-learning projects, fostering integrated thinking and humanitarian engagement among students. Adu-Febiri co-founded with Dr. Francis the Camosun World University Services Canada (WUSC) program, sponsoring students from refugee camps. Francis’ MA thesis and PhD dissertation were on tourism in the contexts of globalization processes and responses to poverty and inequitable diversity. He is currently working on books about diversity, social solutions to pandemics, and Africa’s development challenges. Join us for a discussion with Dr. Francis Adu-Febiri as he shares insights into his research and experience.
